I fit to be Officer!

If you got the feeling you have the skill to be kinship Officer. Attempt an apply here, and I'll remember your words for needed times.

Howdy again:P well I can apply to be an officer Cause i'm a ex wow hardcore gamer not a ba done either was gm in a gruuls lair guild until I disbanded it and more better guilds to bla bla bla. that aint lotr it aint. so i'm a good player advance fast and well ask me what u wanna know from me instead

To be an Officer can require some time of yours, and I want you to notice that:

- You must show you are willing to sacrifice some of your own time to help Kinship.
- You must be helpfull and gentle, and mature.
- You should have a basic knowledge of the game.
- You must know all the kinship rules and be willing to spread them.
- Be helpful to the leader and give advices.
- Be active.
- Signed up at the forum, and use it.

ive been playing for 3,4,5 weeks now and have learned most basics and advanve stuff bout game

Hi Elthaliono. You are quite young, quite low level, and I dont know what kind of earlier game experience you got. Plus, you never mentioned exactly why you wish to be an officer, but I guess you wont missuse your rank.
After all you seem to be nice, and reliable. As you said, you are active and thats great. I want to give you a chance to be Officer. With one condition; that you level up fast so you can join our fellowships.

Well about being online that's mostly in the weekends and sometimes it depends on normal days.

I can be helpfull and i'm ALWAYS Gentle

Well i don't like going solo so i rather help our kinship with their quests and help them speed up their lvl's and i also get xp like that so it helps us both (but they need to ask ofcourse or if i'm in a better mood i'll ask myself )

I know now about the most basic things but still need to learn more ofcourse, and everything i know will be shared with others if needed.

Quite low level, and I dont know what kind of earlier game experience you got. And you didnt mention exactly why you want to be Officer, except that you are helpful (do you love to help?)
In common with many members we got; you seem to be nice, reliable and mature. Well yes, I've noticed you were second to sign up at the forum, and you also are active. Great plus to you. But I dont know enough about you.
As it is now, being nice and helpfull is just not enough.

For now, I have placed you on Hold. Even though there is a great chance you can turn into an Officer in the future.
I am with purpose, unfortunately, a little more strict with you than the earlier ones (I know). But please understand we are getting many Officers and we have to be more and more sure you really fit.
This is not a no, it is a definite maybe.

PS: Or if you want, maybe you can write some more about you, about why and how you will be as an Officer of Warhearts, and your game experience (been Officer before? Had any progress?). This means a lot to be to know. Because like in WoW some people only joined guilds cause of a good looking Tabard, someone could want to be an officer just to get the title.

I like to feel like I'm doing something. I like to help out others and I really feel like I have the experience and the authority I need.

I play 2-3 hrs or more every day.
How you will be as an officer:

I will help members of the kinship in form of: sharing my knowledge, quest help, etc.
I will be active on the forums and help people on the forums like with this example if it's needed.
I will also help recruiting if needed.


What do you expect from a kinship officer or a kinship master?:

I expect the him/her have authority and is a good leader character. I expect him/her to be a kind person that gives of her/himself, is active and stays calm in stressfull situations.


What earlier gaming experience do you have?:

I played 1 and a half year WoW, 1 year (and counting) of GW and some CSS in the meanwhile.


Earlier leader experience (can be both real life and in-game):

When I was about 10 years old I was co-captain at my football team. During my WoW period I lead a series of guild, some of them with Alwynn. It took a long time before i finally lead a succesful guild (together with another player), we started raiding and progressed fine. Then suddenly Blizzard decided to have a migration between our server and another server and the guild was split in half as it wasn't old enough to have built up enough loyality.

I'm Alwynn's stepbrother, becides that i don't know anyone IRL.

Quiet (in-game, not in RL ), kind, trying not to think the best of myself (not allways succesful) and mature I hope.

Oh, and a long and well written application shows that you are a serious person and that becoming an officer is something you really want, though you do not need to be a writing genious.

So you might wanna put some time into it.

Exactly. I personally think it would be best if a officer is 18+ and has delivered a good application. If you are younger and hand in a good and mature application, that might work too. But I do think 18+ and a good application is best. Of course age is not everything, but chances are bigger that a older person can handle trouble professionally and reasonable.

12 is to low imo.

Also one of the things with Lotro is that people get a title connected to the position. And it seems like that attracts alot of people. I have even seen guilds that advertise that you can become a officer

There is no doubt, age can mean alot, but never everything. And it can turn into a good thing to have young players in team. Young players more usually got more time available to play, they are often very focused on pure progressin, and they learn fast. There is many downsides with young people too, but I dont want to judge anyone by the cover of the book, -I want to read it.

There will always be players who are more interessted in titles, power and respect than the game itself, so I am careful with the promotions. And I agree with Rogonon, make a bigger apply creates a better image of you as an applier. In the other hand, adults often find it more easy to write good applies than youngsters and that doesnt just reflect your skills or eagery about your gaming. It can be a bad circle if you force young people to create bigger applies because they are younger, you might end up with the greatest appliers (that would be the adults), that is not obviously fair. In my opinion.
I want to give all players of all age the same possibilites, and with that I think looking closer at a person while ingame plus at the forum, like a total overview, is the best way to judge whether you would be a good Officer or not.

When I have said all that, I must confess, yes, most of the good players/officers/leaders are above the teenage stage. And I will always have the right, along with the Officers to demote/kick bad ones.
If an Officer is an Officer cause of its title, that will be noticed sooner or later.

Please also do not forget that you, as a member, can do agreements with Officers about almost everything, and you dont neccesarily have to be Officer to make big changes and decitions in Warhearts.

I also want to say that from now on, all please use Rogonons applying form. Makes it easier for everyone.

Why would you need (more) officers at this time and place Id say start recruiting officers when the time calls for them for instance when we get to raids etc.
Atm warhearts is a casual guild which doesnt need a lot of officers running around imo.
I was in one of the top raiding guilds of eq2 and we had only 1 leader and 3 officers total.

Even at this stage, Officers can be very usefull. They can help me and others in many ways. But at this time we are enough, and only reason I havent shut the applying down (untill now) is so I can give the first members of us (we are still pretty new) the opportunity to be Officer if they felt for it, and thought they had the skill. Many did, that is why we are so many officers at the moment. I am sure as time passes some dont want to be officer anymore, some might leave, some might quit playing, some may not follow the rules and be demoted. When we start raiding I think and hope that we will have the best ones left with us. This way I hope we will have some old trusty players with us and make them decide a little more than brand new ones who aslo want to be Officers.

Its hard to explain, I dont know exactly how to say it. But I hope get a picture of what I am trying to do here. Awarding the veterans or something like that.

But I agree with you. The Officer promotion is more or less shut down from this moment.
All can apply, but it will be saved for later times, when we need.
